Committee shall have the
responsibility through the year for nominating to the church persons to
serve in the various capacities and positions of the church and its
organizations and on standing and special committees, vacated from time
to time, by removal, death, expiration of term of office, or failure to
function. (Sunday School Superintendent and Training Union Director
should both serve on the Nominating Committee.) (This committee should
meet at least quarterly and report to the church at least
semi-annually.) |

Committee shall prepare annually a
proposed budget including local expenses, education, missions and
benevolence and submit to the church at least a month before the
beginning of the new fiscal year. This committee should plan and
promote stewardship education in all areas of church life. (This
committee should meet and give a report to church on a quarterly basis.)

Committee is responsible for the
upkeep of the church building and grounds. They shall regularly examine
the facilities and make recommendations to the church for the necessary
upkeep. Items of concern should be taken to this committee for
evaluation. This committee should work with the custodian, grounds
keeper, decorating committee, and others to ensure the building and
grounds are being well maintained. (This committee should meet at least
quarterly to review the building and grounds and take necessary
actions.) |

Committee is responsible for the
seasonal decorating of the church. This committee should regularly
evaluate the church facilities to determine necessary work and
decoration to ensure that the church building in honoring unto the
Lord. This committee should work with the Building and Grounds
Committee if there are any particular building needs. |

Committee shall coordinate all
church related fellowship activities (Fellowship meals, Funeral meals,
Revival meals, special meals, etc.) and ensure that necessary supplies
are available, necessary set-up is coordinated, and necessary
arrangements have been made. This committee should also help maintain
the orderliness of the kitchen (custodians will clean floors and remove
all trash). (This committee should meet at least every 6 months to
ensure all fellowship events are appropriately planned.) |

count all receipts from all sources before leaving the church building.
The members shall sign a counting sheet attesting the accuracy of the
figures, showing all receipts by denomination of money, listing all
checks, all designations, and the make-up of the deposit slip. Deposits
should be made on the first banking day following receipt. All
information shall be given to the Treasurer. (This committee should
meet at least annually and when needed to fulfill their function.)

Committee should prepare elements
for the Lord’s Supper (observed quarterly and on special occasions).
Committee should assist with keeping baptismal clothing, towels, etc.
cleaned and ready for baptismal use. If Baptismal or Lord Supper
related needs are identified, recommendations should be made to the
pastor or the church. (There are no set guidelines for regular
meetings.) |

Committee was created to pray about
and for the vision of the church. This committee should spend time in
pray and in evaluation of where God seems to be working. Based upon
God’s direction, this committee should make recommendations to the
pastor, staff, various committees, and to the church as deemed
appropriate. (This committee should meet on a quarterly basis and
report to the church at least semi-annually.) |

internationally) and manage a Missions budget provided by the church.
This committee should try to plan mission opportunities as much as 12

Committee should participate in and
evaluate children and nursery programs at Immanuel and at other churches
and make appropriate recommendations to the church to help improve
children and nursery ministries. They should identify areas where we
need additional volunteers, support, budget assistance, or direction and
help determine solutions to these issues. (This committee should meet
quarterly and should report to the church at least semi-annually.) |

Committee is to assist the church in
administrative matters related to all employed personnel. This
committee should work with all staff members to prepare and update job
descriptions, develop church policies and procedures relating to church
staff personnel, and discuss needs for additional church staff
positions. This committee should be involved in addressing concerns
about staff member job performance and assess job performance of each
staff member on an annual basis. (This committee should meet at least
twice a year and as a need arises.) |
